People often assume I teach sleep because I'm some naturally calm, Zen, 8-hours-a-night kind of person.

I wish that were true.

The truth is — sleep has been one of the biggest struggles of my life.

It started early.

  • As a child, I suffered from painful mouth ulcers.
  • Not the small, occasional ones.
  • These were the kind that made drinking water feel like torture.
  • Talking hurt. Eating was impossible.

I grew up with this constant question:

"Why does this keep happening to me?"

Doctors didn't have answers.

  • I was given B12 injections, tablets, ointments — nothing solved the problem.

And for the longest time, even into my 30s, I had no idea why.

Then I started noticing a pattern.

Every time I had:

a late night,

a festival,

extra workload,

travel,

or even a few nights of disturbed sleep...

Boom.

  • The ulcers returned — every single time.

My body was screaming at me long before I learned how to listen.

The Collapse That Changed My Life

But the real turning point came years later, in the most embarrassing place possible — a boardroom full of executives.

At that time, I was traveling often to the US. I worked all day with the US team, then stayed awake late into the night to coordinate with my team back in India.

12-hour time difference.

Jet lag.

Pressure.

Stress.

Meetings.

Back-to-back deadlines.

I was running on fumes.

One day, during an important meeting, everything started spinning. My vision blurred. My heart raced. My body felt like it had shut down.

And then…

I collapsed.

Right there, in front of a room full of senior leaders.

It was humiliating. But more than that — it was terrifying.

That collapse was my body's way of saying:

"Enough."

I had pushed myself past the point of exhaustion, past the point of logic, and past the point of health.

I learned the importance of sleep the hard way.

From Fitness Coach to Sleep Coach
The Turning Point I Never Expected

Years later, when I started coaching people in fitness, I noticed something strange.

I taught people how to exercise —

but they didn't lose weight.

So I studied nutrition. Clients got better results. Weight dropped. Health markers improved.

But still…

Some people struggled.

Low motivation to exercise

No energy for workouts

Constant cravings

Emotional eating

Difficulty sticking to even simple habits

And I kept thinking: "Why? What am I missing?"

So I dug deeper.

And what I discovered changed my entire coaching philosophy:

Sleep was the hidden variable messing up everything.

This became the foundation of my work.
